Good morning!

Just tuned in for a nice feeding - and did see both being fed. It did look as if sometimes the adult offered the food more than once before the chick took it, but it did look as if both ate well. The second adult was also on the nest briefly. Looks like all is well. love

Another feeding - looks like a bright sunny day - and it's actually hard to see which chick is which because their light gray down is so bright in the sun. Smile

Both are sitting side by side, and it looks as if each is being fed in turn.

10:27 am
Another feeding - and again, both are side by side, eating in turn. A cloud passed over during the feeding, making it easier to see details on this very bright cam, so I'll try to add a couple of pictures from this feeding tonight.

The nest bowl escapees are at it again - and this time both are out on the prowl! They made their way over to the left side of the nest where the adult was - and when she(?) left for a minute, it looked as if they were checking out the food stash. (Though I think that's more a trick of perspective as they're too young to even think of self-feeding. Well, most eaglets this age would be too young - this pair does seem advanced for their age.)

Mom is now back brooding an empty nest bowl while the little ones enjoy the sun.

10:57 am
The little ones are now back beside the adult - and the adult is busily moving sticks around while brooding the empty nest bowl - so maybe it's Dad. Titter

And I just checked the dates - the older eaglet is one week old today - so maybe she was trying to help herself to some birthday fish! Cool

I got back from lunch a little while ago - and I see our little wanderer has been wandering again - one of them was all the way over by the tree trunk, dozing in the sun! I'm guessing it was the older - the other was being brooded, and even though they're only a day apart, there does seem to be a point at which they start being "outside" a bit more.

She's still wandering, though she's now closer to Mom. love

(from this afternoon)

I did think the wanderer would return when the other was fed:

But she decided to wait for room service:

Let's see if we can get this one a little closer

And I'm afraid I headed home at that point, but it did look as if they were settling in, though I didn't get any more s'caps.

JudyB, Your captions and s'caps of the little "wanderer" are delightful. Thank you. Grin

We have a little Gypsy and a Rover, for sure. Titter
