Pa fed the littles while Ma moved sticks around the nest. She had a few bites of fish also. Pa was in front of the nest in a nest at first but then went around to the other side and fed both chicks. He flew off at 6 and could see the band very clearly. Then Ma went over and carefully settled over the chicks.

KC and Banner have both been fed at 10, 11:08, 12:44 and 2:10. I missed all but the 11:08 feeding.

The eagles have switched at 10:15, 12, and 2:08. It might be raining off and on. Aspen (Ma) had her wings spread wide for awhile while incubating. One little "let" was looking about in front but under her. The eagles have been on the nest together several times today. There is food at 11 and 5.

I have named these little ones but it is up for other suggestions. KC is for Kit Carson and somehow Banner just seems like a good name for SV2.

I liked them too....too cute.....Wub one had been resting and it took it awhile to decide to come up to eat....then they both kept their eyes on the parent. I am not sure which parent it was as I had been off the site for a bit......

It is raining at the nest now. Eagle has wings spread.

March 27, 2010....34 degrees with temps in the low 40's for today. It could rain.

I am so glad that it did not snow overnight. The eagles switched at 6:34 and the first feeding was at 7:04. It lasted 6 or 7 min.
7:40 to 8:00 eagle brooding facing 12.

There was a news release about the chicks on the evening news. It was short but announced that one egg had hatched at the St. Vrain power station.

I also notice that the eggshell that was at 7 is gone this morning.
