9:25 am
Just saw both adults - think a switch but busy with work - no sight of chick or feeding. (No worries on that score either - if there is a chick, keeping it warm is more important than feeding it, at least until this afternoon or even tomorrow morning.)
10:07 am
Second adult just arrived with some bedding - maybe evergreen branches? - and is spreading them on the snow. Wonder if they know the dark color will help the snow melt more quickly?
Incubating adult is watching the process, but not moving.

Second adult away; no switch.
10:15 am
Second adult back with a stick
This time the incubating adult gets off the nest, stretches, perches on the edge for a minute and leaves.
Second adult finishes placing his(?) stick, and takes over incubation.
One egg clearly visible.

Thanks for the report Judy. I remember Belle and Liberty at WVa bringing in sticks and bedding. The visible egg and hopefully an eaglet have been incubated all morning. Both adults have had a break and had time to find food. Good to see the snow end and the sun shine. It will warm up tomorrow but today only low to mid 30's is expected. Glad it is not windy.

Nest exchange. I think this is Mom taking over incubation, based on relative size (but am not sure). One egg clearly seen when she turned it before nestling in, no clear view of anything else. (Melt, snow, melt! - you're blocking my view!)

Sunny at the nest. Pa came in at 11:31. Then he began to pull the bedding around the nest in a nest. He worked that task for 8 min. The first pic may show 2 eggs ????
Pa moving the bedding.

Hi Bev,
Good to see you. The area around the egg cup is getting bigger now that the sun is out and the eagles have been incubating with no snow. It sure is hard to tell if we have a hatching or not. Will just have to keep watching. They brought in bedding and new sticks just like Liberty and Belle did when they were in the big snows.

12:50 to 1:04 both eagles on the nest. Pa stayed on the egg cup. Ma fiddles with moving a stick from 12 to 3/4. It is a long stick with a y so it is hard to handle. She hits Pa several times but finally after much moving about gets it in place. Then they are on the nest together watching off to 3 position for about 4 minutes.
1:09 He checks the egg cup briefly and resettles facing 6.
