waveDonna ~~ I don't like that snow either ~~ maybe they will wait to hatch till it is over ~~
that would be a blessing ~~they are probably use to all kinds of miserable weather ~

Keep our fingers crossed for this pair of Beautiful Eagles !!

1:59 eagle could be seen coming into the nest from below flying near 12 and coming in at 6. Until 2:17 they moved one stick after another. At first the incubating eagle just stayed put but after 10 min it joined in the rearranging and got the sticks in place. They were very industrious and worked great as a team.

2:17 to 2:55 the eagle has been quietly incubating the egg and checking the egg cup. There is also new bedding near 4/5 position. It was raining and windy but seems like the rain has stopped for now.

Here are a few pics of the stick moving.

Hi Bev, wave

We started the hatch watch yesterday so there is every possibility that a hatch is in progress.

Thankfully, Donna-golden1, keeps us updated on this Colorado nest. I have come to heavily depend on Donna's input.

Wish you could get the cam Bev because you are one fine observer! Thanks for checking on Fort St. Vrain and hurry back, please. Grin

4:30 pm,
Looks like rain.

My guess is that one egg is in the process of hatching....both eagles have been checking and rechecking the egg cup up to five times at a switch or time to roll eggs. They check more than roll.....but with this snow one cam is now out and the other is still viewable....so we will just have to wait....It is really snowing hard now and these are the storms that the ranchers dislike so much as calves and lambs are being birthed and they lose some to these March storms.....but the eagles went through the other storm last week end so I trust that all will be okay. Wish there was food in the nest though.

Here are several late pics from the different cams.

they brought in extra bedding today and have been pulling it close to the egg cup all day. So hope they find food and I know that on Thursday it is going to be warming into the 50's again. But another rain/snow on Saturday but not much accumulation. Then it looks nice for a few days. Good time to just incubate and feed if the littles are here.
