Good afternoon.....yes this is a beautiful place for an eagle's nest. It is east of the foothills and in open farm land between Denver and Greeley. I am not sure but I think the St. Vrain River runs along the side and then behind the nest.....I'll do a bit of checking. I do know that there are many beet farms in the area and other produce farms....This xcel energy plant used to be a nuclear power plant but it was shut down and reconverted to it present use. Here are some stills I chose and they show egg rolls and switches happened....the overhead lets us see more of the eggs...Click on image to download

As I have watched as I have been doing things by the computer the afternoon has looked like the pics. Perhaps the eagles are just enjoying the nice warm day and the sunshine on the nest....there have been egg rolls and switches and mostly the eagles have been facing away from the cams....

Friday March 5, 2010 Good Morning it is in the low 30's this morning and will be in the mid 50's after noon.

Castor I think the chicks could come around the 22nd of March. Most likely they will hatch within a day or 2 of each other....I hope that was your question....good to see you here have a wonderful day....

Early morning pics show that there has been an egg roll and most likely a switch.Click on image to download
