Eaglet tap tap tapping on the shell,
anyone out there it asks.
Ma and Pa listening to the sound within saying
"come out little one we have fishes for you
but you have work to do".
Knock, knock, knock, a pip appears, making it bigger with
little talons at work, learning very young the jobs that will be needed,
for a big eagle to survive in the wide bleu world.
Pip gets bigger while eaglet continues to fight,
get off that shell to see what is Outside!
Shell falls apart, the eaglet steps out, with applause
from Ma and Pa to see the little tyke, tired and ready
for rest for a while.
The fish can wait for a little bit as hard work it is to
remove a shell such as that.
Bravo little one, they are so glad to see you,
and now you can watch the others come out too.
While Ma and Pa have a fish just for you, but rest
little one under your Ma, soon big things will happen
way up in the deep bleu sky, wonders for you!

Poem dedicated to Nightowl on her move........
Boxes, boxes, some contain foxes, some contain towels,
sprockets and Clorox too,
Oh what am I to do, the living room is full,
the kitchen is too, I can't find the pots, the plates,
the can opener or the screw.
Sit on the boxes, make a nice spot,
the cats will join you if you borrow an opener,
to give them their food or their kibble too,
but what are we going to do about you?
Well, you could eat out, pretend its a lark,
then come home watch eagles and say what a beautiful spot,
sitting on this box in front of the screen it almost,
most likely could be considered serene.
House is certainly pristine!
smiles,

Cherry Blossoms speak to me,
time long ago yet in my heart singing free,
wandering gardens serene while quiet,
speaking a language learned on the spot.
What brings us to where we are wander in our lives?
We know we are lead to choose our flights,
we leave and we go, we fly and we soar,
sometimes to turn around, and close a hidden door.
That must be what links us to view eagles so free,
grounded to their nests, but yet about to fly,
and in a blink of an eye!

Bouncing bunnies all around, jumping without much of any sound,
eggs in trees, beautifully placed, wonders above and below.
Easter is coming just around the bend, get ready for the joy to transcend,
the pain of the moment, the fear of what is to be, for Easter is for you and me.
Open your heart, mind and thoughts, welcome Easter coming,
it will be glorious to those who can hear it drumming.
Look, listen and see, tomorrow is a new day,
written triumphantly, joy displayed.

Ode to a Princess - for the CRC chick
We watched her so closely from egg to big Princess,
working her way out of the shell.
She snuggled with Derek, she snuggled with Savannah,
she snuggled with egg too.
She found her away around the big top of the nest,
looking at mama above. She always, truly always,
felt and knew the experience of wondrous love.
And Derek, her Dad was so proud.
Tomorrow she leaves them to go to an ivory tower,
thereby to learn the way of an eagle soaring so freely,
into the deep blue skies to live out her life,
a part of us goes with her so very keenly with happy dreams.

Dedicated to White Rock 4/23/12
Double, double toil and trouble, eaglet in a fluff,
Feathers flying all around them, they are lost in all the stuff!
Which is an eaglet, which is a feather,
feathers flying all around, decorating without a sound.
If you look upon the scene, it will be surprising indeed,
an eagle's nest, feathered carpet, eaglets teeter totter too.
What fun to see the feathers flying, up and down and all around,
and then we see the eaglets feeding somewhere seeming feather bound.
