Well the honest truth is that.....
I have not given the baby a bath and the dog's is long overdue
which is why she must be Bleu?
She has not been swimming the last few days as
the temperatures have dropped exponentially to a degree
that might be considered cool in a pool?
I threw her toy for her but instead of going in, she
tested the water and got it to come to her outside the pool,
which made me decide to also not go in as I have no fur (thankfully).
The dog days of Summer are gone, and we will celebrate that fact
as it is abstractly difficult to breathe when it is so hot you cannot trot,
and then you are on the spot, or the dot, I forgot!
Now we have the Fall air approaching but the days get warm,
not so that you are in a swoon, or seeing a Bleu moon,
but rather just a cool sort of rule.
Let's celebrate October as it is a happy month, actually my favorite,
now I have two granddaughters and soon a third born in October,
and my birthday too, so cool and not Bleu.
Whoopee all y'all.....it is FALL!

Bleu went swimming yesterday,
triumphantly leaping into the air to catch the red toy,
I call what she does the "four paw leap plop" or
joy transparent in the air, anywhere.
The ears were flying out by her head,
to show you the joy in her eyes could be spread,
the water was not cold to her, no not at all,
so happily she leaped and leaped through the Fall.
We all need to find such moments in our lives
where we just revel in the moment before us in our sight
go for the red toy that dangles in the air,
and then laugh and giggle as you fly unawares.

PYM was a bit dim
on Wednesday last
He did not consider it a blast
that at long last
he got a trim
at the groomers.
In fact, he wouldn't stop talking,
more like complaining,
as he was walking
from the groomers
to his home looking very smart
after an activity in which he wanted no part.

Karen!
A yak does not quack, Mack,
I am sure of that fact, it is way off track.
A yak does not neigh, Trey, so do not go there
for a horse has a mane and a yak has a song refrain.
A yak does not purr, for it has less fur than a kitty,
which is kinda, sorta like singing a little ditty and way witty!
A yak does not roar, for more, as a yak is always on track,
yes Jack, think of that! On track and on the road.
The road has toads, yes loads, and he uses his overstep
to not hurt the little green fellows, to keep them mellow and not yellow
You ask what is an "overstep", well it is kind of like over drive in a car,
but a yak does not drive, not in any of life that I know so there you go!
A yak is a plodder, a trodder, liking his fodder, but it does not matter,
for no Mother of a yak, will leave it at that, not at all!
They will make it into kibble so the bitty yak does not dribble,
and mess up his pretty new blanket.
Mothers are wonderful wherever they are, so look through the glass
and see Mother Yak from afar, all y'all.

Carolyn, you are so creative! Hope kids are fine
I don't know what enters the eyes of a child
To cause them to be so wild
And ask questions beyond their age
So I learned today to treasure their youth
while innocent and cute
A love so pure and absolute
I wish that baby stage would last longer
But am glad they grow stronger
Nothing but miracles each day they grow
Fingers with strength
A body grows in length
Longer nights of sleep
Baby moments we'll keep
Teasure it well
Caught under a baby's spell
The language is Baby talk
All while learning to crawl then walk!
One look in their eyes
We no longer feel so wise
As a flood of love begins to flow
Then we smile when they get strong and grow
Their hair may lose their curls
Thank heaven for little boys and little girls
If you give it your 100%-you will succeed

Kitties up, kitties down,
kitties seem to be all around,
the cycle continues day in and day out,
but different kitties in every site.
Bleu dog sleeping, Bleu dog leaping,
Bleu dog playing, Bleu dog tugging,
rainbows from Roger Yak, brought by B. Raccoon,
this morning it makes me swoon.
Poetry written by jas, Karen and moi,
always fun to read, to see the delights and the
sights, no respite, just full of sprites,
just a dream we all have, daily living makes me glad.
Spunky Monkey sends his joys too,
wearing his orange sweater, like a pumpkin, not bleu.
So enjoy your day, friends and your Thanksgiving too,
I wish I could be with you and bring along Bleu!
hugs and love on Canadian Thanksgiving,

Hiking up and down the hills of mid Texas
is a true Fall surprise, for around every bend you see
wonders before your eyes.
Hawks in the air circling to find some loot,
kayakers on the lake enjoying the sun, water and
trying not to bake.
Large granite rock formations over which you must climb,
then back down the other side, carefully.....
to not slip and slide.
Up the large hill, using your walking stick for support,
entering the cedar forest with trees and shade abundant,
then leaving it somewhat triumphant!
Hours of hiking can wear you out, but rest just a tad
and then you are again up and about, driving to another site,
where you set out once more seeing......
Red Bellied woodpeckers, black capped vireo birds,
cardinals and others, all of them visited by butterflies, dragonflies and other friends.
That is what you see around the bend!

The top of Enchanted Rock appears high and scary,
yet one foot in front of the other up the sheer granite face and there you are!
The view is for miles, the breeze delightful,
the sights surprising to eyes not seeing nature so far, clear and pure.
The walk around the park is long, varied and neat,
something unique in this world and a true treat.
If you ever wonder a good place to visit, try
Enchanted Rock in Texas, for air fresh and clear.
