Roger Yak settles with his Friends
Finding a waterfall, with a tall oak beside, the wonders of nature
fly high in the sky, blue skies are around, unless there is a storm
and even then it is fine as there is a grotto nearby to rest a Yak's back,
from carrying Spunky Monkey, Bandit Raccoon and the dove has a nest in the eves.
They are still hearing the sounds of a large bird or several, but more distant,
right now, as if going back and leading the way to a place quite special,
which Roger Yak wants to visit to gather songs, it sounds like a high flying site.
They leave a good scent which not not dissipate as it is permanent Yak calling scent.
Now where did they get this I wonder? I hope it was not plunder from a
ship off the coast of Outer Mongolia, but who knows eagle's ways, only they can see,
what is possible not to you and me. Back in the grotto and waterfall,
Spunky Monkey is wearing his orange sweater, Roger Yak his blanket.
It seems they are resting from traveling far, from Mountain to Hill to Valley
to Plain, to Hill to Valley to Mountain, and here to be.
Just for a moment, a tad, until they will suddenly be wandering again,
maybe soon, not sure right now, but you will know!
A Yak is not quiet when he plods and the sound will fill the Forum
plop, clump, plump, stump, when you hear that come running,
for Roger Yak be back, with Spunky Monkey, Bandit Raccoon
and Peter Dove well after resting for a spell, y'all be well, with joy!
Flying above the Screechers are joyous to see all y'all following them quietly,
knowing Solo and Tiny Tink together is a treat unique and sweet!

Solo and Tiny Tink
Solo and Tiny Tink, who would have thought it?
Can you imagine the wonders they see?
Those two triumphant eagles flying mightily over
seas, trees, woods and mountains, to
explore an area remote and far.
Now we know they belong in B.C. where the
salmon flow freely and easy to gather,
to keep them in fish, what a dish!
They need sustenance to grow into proud eagles,
With feathers of white and brown, over time, this astounds,
it takes a number of years, for an adult to emerge,
from the eaglet, juvenile bird, whom we all love,
in a way quite unashamed, smiling at their names.
Ma and Pa Sidney would be surprised, to see them both together,
as they are brother and sister from quite different clutches,
one a loner and the other one of three, nonetheless
they all sing a trill for you and me.

Mighty cute bear, leaves everywhere,
we are all taking a break from here which is quite delightful,
so no need to worry about poems posted or not,
just come a have a respite when you will!
We will be back writing merrily, when the spirit moves,
and with that will come our little quartet traveling afar afield,
wonders to be seen. I think change and rest are good to have
for these four tired fellows - so let them rest and we will see.....
Wonders when they return!

Roger's Musings
Can you hear the waterfall, water all around,
singing its song of joy?
Spunky nestled sleeping in the tree,
holding a branch tightly with his tail.
Bandit is foraging for whatever he might find,
in the forest with leaves falling down silently.
Peter Dove is in the air, hovering above the Falls,
he sees things we do not, luminescent water drops.
And as for me, I am resting, and bathing
in the pool below the falls, a clean yak I will be.
Just a report from me, Roger Yak, to thee!

Fall comes in quick here
Temperatures dropping like a rock
Air is crisp and clean
Right back at you jas! You are so unique, a delightful surprising friend from eagle land!
Catch each moment as a treasure, the joy is yours to hold.

Carolyn, you are special indeed
Trusting, caring, poetic with daring speed
who would race up the mountain faster
You or Roger Yak?
THe love in your heart would fly you to the peak and back
As fast as light travels
, your love leaves a track
For Roger to follow should he become a lost yak
If you give it your 100%-you will succeed

Spunky Monkey tells his Tale/tail
Swinging on a tree one day, I saw a wandering beast,
he had horns so large and scary, but a smile so sweet!
Wondering where he was going so far from home,
with a satchel swinging from his pack on his back like a rack!
I asked him with a slight tinge of trepidation, if I could go his way,
and he responded so nicely "Oui" in a language I did not git!
Somehow you just understand when the message is such and I
jumped on his back, learned he was a Yak, what do you think of that?
My perch is perfect, attaching my tail to his horn, no worry
of falling from the back of the yak into the snow down below, oh woe!
The time spent with Roger Yak is beyond expectation, mysteries
uncovered and songs sung with a throng, but never too long.
A monkey likes the short songs that bounce off the trees,
and sometimes bounce down and hit Roger's knees!
I wonder what will happen next in our tale/tail to be told,
for someone is stalling us so in rest we repose.
