I posted the following on the Maine forum on May 7, but didn't get over here that day to add it here as well:

It's a beautiful morning in Maine - water looks very blue today. Temperature's around 50F where I am, probably not that different where the nest is. One of the adults is on the nest with the chicks - I'm thinking Jill.

10:08 am
Both adults at the nest. I don't see a flurry of activity, so am guessing there was not a food delivery. Both of the little ones are dozing near Jill while Jack stands at the edge of the nest and watches. Smile

12:30 pm
I think there's a feeding going on, and I think only one is over eating while the other is napping in the nestbowl - but the shadows are dark enough that I'm not really sure of that

1:09 pm
Adult left shortly after my last post and just returned; this time the other eaglet looked but apparently decided there wasn't food and went back to sleep - or at least I think that's what happened - still hard to see them in the shadows of the nest.

Edited May 9 to add the following:

First, I forgot to wish Tailor a Happy Hatch Day - he was three weeks old on Friday, May 7. Grin

Good morning! I'm afraid I was a bit busy yesterday and didn't do much posting, but I do have pics so am saving this post for them.

Here are some pictures from May 8

Everything seems to be going well - they're looking good, I see food arriving, both adults are spending time at the nest. But I do have a question - it seems that sometimes when there's a feeding, only one is eating. I'm not sure if they're taking turns - I really can't tell them apart at this point - or if one is not getting as much. I'm not seeing bullying or submissive behavior - but sometimes one of them doesn't seem to come over when there's a feeding. I'm guessing it's OK - what I can see for development appears on track for both. But if anyone else is watching, I'd appreciate another perspective. Thanks!

wave Central Maine,

JudyB,
Was able to get a few s'caps this morning. Looks to me like the youngest 'let is on the left and getting food. Parent moved from near Tinker to Tailor's area.

Thanks, CAL! They both look healthy, and I think in at least some of my pics it's the little one who's being fed - but it's hard to tell with the refresh cam.

The babies Wub have sure undergone tremendous growth since I last saw them Left thumb up

Judy I think the pecking order is established Grin and the smaller lett waits his turn but is getting fed too; everytime I watched a feeding both letts appeared to get fed although it is hard to tell with the still cam precisely how the feedings go....you can see the adult offering to both and their weight gains confirms it Left thumb up
