There are two cams, one looking at the nest from the side, and the other over the nest looking in. Both have night vision and constant 15-second refresh views, and one can be streaming with sound. There is the potential for streaming one of the cams, but it didn't work last year.

The cam is located in central Maine, and according to BioDiversity Research Institute (BRI) the nest has been occupied every year since 2001 (and the territory has been used at least on and off for the last 30 or more years). 2009 was the first year there was a cam on the nest, and they fledged two eaglets.

Based on past experience, look for eggs in late March, chicks in early May, and fledging in early July.

2010 Season:

egg(s) laid: March 8, 4:06 pm; seen March 12, 6:02 am (may have been laid March 11, 6:07 pm)
hatched: April 15, 5:53 am (38 days); April 16, 3:36 pm (36 days)
fledged: both on June 30, around 6:36 am (75 and 76 days); returned to the nest the morning of July 1st
last seen: the cam, which had been pretty erratic, finally stopped working at all on July 18; both were seen on July 17; cam back online September 23, and at least one fledgling visited several times between then and September 30th
