Egg Hatch We have a hatch!!! I have been watching all day. I read yesterday that the eggs were "squeaking" so I figured it might be today. Several times I thought I saw a baby, but it was just her leg.

I have an artificial hip. I had some complications with it, leaving me with drop foot, then fell and broke my femur and had to have a revision 5 weeks later. I was 35 at the time, I needed it because of a birth defect. Maybe you can be my nurse when I go in for that 3rd! Don't Panic
Stay tuned for baby number 2!!! or maybe I should say, "I'll Have Another" (wish we had a horse emoticon) ha ha ha ha silly Laugh Egg Hatch Julie

Egg Hatch Oh Darn it, I always seem to miss it. Ah well that is what the little videos are for. I could see the little one under her leg and kind of being tossed around. The video shows her eating the shell but she doesn't seem to aware that there is a little little under her feet.Sad I hope she wakes up and smells the coffee...... I'm sure that the second will come tomorrow or the next day.
Wow, you sure have alot to deal with. My brother has had his hip done 3 times (third time lucky they say). Hopefully you don't have to go through it again. I know it can take alot out of a person. I would love to be your nurse if I could.

Have lovely evening and yes I think I will "Have another" heheLaugh Work again tomorrow and then the weekend off ahhhhhh. TTFNEgg Hatch Let's hope she get cracking ...hehe

Thanks for the memories

Don't Panic Miss Kerry!! help!! Don't Panic I have a question for you... did something happen to dad owl?? I haven't seen him for a while, but it didn't register in my mind until I did some translating on the falcon site. I was trying to figure out what they were talking about and i saw where someone was making comments similar to ... "other cams such as the male owl, and watching nature take it's course, the baby starving, don't watch if you can't handle it," etc. Oh My I have been trying to translate the owl forum and am not finding anything, but that doesn't mean it isn't there. It's so hard with a language barrier. She isn't going out to hunt and I haven't seen her feed the baby, but I haven't been able to watch like I want to, either. I hope things are okay. Just asking for your thoughts. Confused

OK, I did some searching around, (hope I can find it again) and I found this... this is how it came out from the translator, so the English isn't very good, but hopefully you get the idea. Thankfully, it isn't the little owl they were talking about. Sadly, an owl was lost, though. Cry

"Death and new life are sometimes close together to experience the spring. Earlier this week, there was the sad message about the dead eagle-owl, but at the little OWL, there is now good news. The first boy is out of the egg come!

Which had itself previously announced by loud to squeal. It meant that the last evening and night, despite the excellent terrace weather, hundreds of additional viewers who had wanted to watch the live birth. It was around midnight, as nicely shown in this clip.

Joep, Ronald and Pascal on the blog keep you informed of the latest developments, because it may not be long before the other eggs hatch. Witnessing such an event live is the real Experience-the-spring-feeling."

are you tired of me yet? I need to just keep a post open and not hit send until I finish researching. The dad does seem to be missing. He hasn't been seen for a while and they are concerned as to what mom will do, stay and keep baby warm and not feed, or hunt and let baby get cold. Either way, it doesn't seem good here. Hopefully, he will show up with some tastey morsels soon. Ok, I quit now. I have both the outside cam on waiting for Pa and watching the spider, and the inside one watching Ma and baby.

Are they saying that dad is missing? I know that I saw him or another Owl there yesterday but not since then. It showed the first feeding as well but not anything very filling it would seem. Only a bug or something. I seems to me that the other eggs are not going to hatch. It has been a long time. That could be a good thing or a bad thing. They could keep each other warm but then mom Bubble has more mouths to feed. I hope things are okay but as they say that is nature and I know from history that this site does not ever interfere.Frustration That is soooo frustrating to me. Anyways thanks for the update. I will be watching much more closely now
TTFNhug It will be OK, Think Positve++++++Tongue /color]

Yea, sigh, it appears that dad is missing. I found this on the bottom of the page in the section called "social media" I dont know if you mind me posting these translations or not. I thought maybe I would, just in case anyone else happens to be reading but not posting, and doesn't do the translator, (not that the translator makes much sense, but if you try to imagine the thought rather than take it word for word it is easier to understand, at least for me anyway.) So this is what I found posted from today:

"It can nevertheless still not let a message to post. What we are now seeing happen is in many respects special. Great to see how ma know to disable. Apparently she has to bake them yourself by that, the young must survive. Normally hunts they yet, but there is now no more, the pa to button. The urge to ensure for posterity is unprecedented in size. Fortunately it works again and she can let the young for short time only. Particular that the young life so incredibly powerful. There really is no cents for this morning I gave. And you should now see again! How valuable it is that we can watch! Prove once again the cams their added value here. How often we get this, even at a nest we normally never come along. It gives great insight into the resilience of both the chick as ma. Larvae are fine food now. Easy to digest, easy to carry and above all easy to catch. If you like 5 chicks on this way of prey should provide is a bit a hopeless case, but one ...Of course, it is still no run race. There is still a long way to go. But we are definitely a bit more hope than voted yesterday."
