Welcome to the Muse Winery Eagles thread for the 2015/2016 season. This nest is on private property near Deep Cove, in the Municipality of North Saanich BC and can be viewed from the patio at the Muse Winery. This nest has produced many eaglets over the past years. You can read info and see pictures of these eagles on the previous years' thread here. Please feel welcome to post your observations and photos of these eagles if you visit their nest area.

I did a tour today of all the nests I monitor on the Saanich Peninsula and did not see or hear any eagles in the area. The Winery was closed so I did not speak to Jane.

Yes, I got their newsletter yesterday afternoon. Link to newsletter online here. It's time for them to move on and I hope the new owners will like the eagles and will be willing to let me go in and take pictures of them. Jane & Peter have been wonderful and always welcome me even if I'm not having lunch or buying wine Nodding yes

I visited the winery this afternoon; Jane & Peter were out of town. I did not see or hear the eagles and the lady who works at the winery said they have not returned yet. I met a nice couple who have just moved into the house on the corner of Third & Beaufort in Sidney, near the Roberts Bay nest. The lady who works at the winery is their neighbour Smile

I visited the winery today but did not see or hear the eagles anywhere. The municipality is widening the road by the winery on Tatlow.

I visited the winery nest area today and was thrilled to see an eagle in the nest moving sticks around WooHoo Jane had told me the eagles had returned and she saw them carrying sticks to the nest a few times. They seem to be a bit earlier this year Left thumb up Their nest is the nicest one I have seen with it's own canopy. The winery wasn't open today so I snapped a few pics from the road while sitting in my car.

Visited the winery area today; the winery was closed so I took some pics of the nest from the road. I didn't see an eagle in the nest but haven't uploaded my pics yet. Will post some later.

ETA: A pic of the best; no white head showing but I did see some movement behind the branch.
