hi, I've been watching these little cuties for a couple weeks now. even when we still had all 3 of them with us i was wondering if anyone thought of names for these little guys. i know that the osprey triplets at Breslau nest in Ontario have names. If not, maybe we could name them? Let me know, please.

Mom and the chicks have been watching something below the nest.
I recall a few years ago going to an osprey nest to take photos and when I got too close the the nest pole the Mom gave me a good scolding I kept telling her I didn't have the ability to climb the pole to the nest but she wasn't listening

Mom's on high alert. I thought maybe Dad was coming in with a fish but maybe she was warning intruders away.

How about Buddy or Sparrow for the boy? And how about Ava or Sarika for the girl? I would be scared if a momma osprey was yelling at me, they got sharp talons

Buddy and Ava sound good. I think Ava is likely the larger of the two since the females are always larger.

I don't know when they ate last but they have very non-existent crops but that hasn't stopped them from being very active and vocal. Lots of chirping and running around on the nest.

Wow, talk about good timing. Dad just arrived with a fish.


Mom packed the fish over to the left of the nest to feed the O's.

Feeding is still going on.

First chick is finished his meal and cleaning his beak on a stick.
Second chick is still being fed the last of the fish.

I was off-line for awhile but came in to see another feeding in progress. These will be two contented chicks tonight with their full crops.

Camera is down this morning.

Camera is finally up.
Mom stuck around long enough for me to get a screen capture then promptly flew off.
By the looks of the sleeping chicks I'd say they've probably eaten today or they would have been up bugging Mom for food.

Mom flew in and startled the chicks when she landed. Heck, she even startled me.
She moves a stick about as soon as she lands. She may have brought it with her but I didn't see it..
