Debs It was not the right day to get computer problems.

I am now.. after a very special day.. The coming days will probably show us some more of the new cubbies
Its been a bittersweet day too.

Macdoum you got that right and it was day 36 for egg number one at a eagle nest I follow so I was ripping my hair out here, there

Can hear the babies nursing
abit....and one seems to be cooing too.

Cannot really see as Jewel body is concealing what we can see
and I am sure both cubs are tucked inside close to Momma Jewel
body while they nurse too.

Can hear one cub fussing and Jewel repositions
and I think we actually caught a glimpse of at least one cub
while Jewel turns and repositions them....saw two sets of eyes too
....but again so hard to see anything in the dark...this is the best cap I got

One cub is still fussing abit.

Quiet again now and you can see Jewel has positioned herself into a ball
with her back to us. Cubbies must be snug as a bug.

Day 1 has been noisy. It is now with unhappy cubbie sounds. Jewel repositions but 1 cubbie still isn't happy. Am I forgetting the constant verbalizing in Lily and Hope's den last year or might we have more than 2 here? I'm glad Jewel can finally find comfort but taking care of her younguns will certainly interfere with what we think of hibernation. Poor little guy. He'll learn to where to find his food source.

Stim There is some speculation that there could be three cubs guess we will have to wait for visuals to confirm that. Momma Jewel is going to be very busy with her new lil ones and she seems to be doing all the right things like a good Momma.

Last year was just as noisy too they sure sound like real babies at times hey.

Nursing sounds heard and also a cubby cooing too.
So two different sounds heard.

747 pm
One cubby is still fussing and you can hear Jewel talk and reposition
this cubby and we can hear one cub nursing too.

Jewel kinda sighs and talks in very short groan or sigh type sounds
when she comforts the lil ones....it is soooo kool

750 pm
Strong nursing sounds heard.

The Daily Report for this exciting day is hot off the press....it is a great read and they only talk of two cubs not three !

One of the cubs is really fussing and crying
and Jewel is talking to the cub in short sounds ooooh oooh
and trying to settle the baby down; movement seen so likely
trying to position the fussy cut to a nipple perhaps.



932 pm
Strong nursing sounds heard;
then sounds of another cub trying to latch on.

935 pm
Sounds like two cubs may be nursing now.

937 pm
Mouth smacking sounds heard too.
Jewel has her back to us...but it looks like she may be sitting
up somewhat to facilitate nursing although we cannot see her
head.

One cub still fussing away then nursing sounds heard again; 2 cubs
nursing I think.
