EJ & Odin day has been mostly switching nest duty, Odin has brought in more sticks today. EJ appreciates an early morning fish delivery and a fish supper later in the evening. During the rest of the day, one is off fishing and taking extra time to enjoy a well earned break. Odin sometimes must be in earshot of EJ's calling, as he's not to long in coming back onto the nest

Brillant rescue for Olly Osprey, lads out for a day of fishing at Synpes dam - resevoir near Renfrewshire Scotland The lads
were in the right place at the right time. Olly has a bto band and white ring CW, this young osprey on its migration path back to Scotland - is one fortunate fish hawk. Well done Lads!
Olly looks weary, tho somewhat grateful for being rescued the story below is by one of the lads who help save Ollys' life Nodding

Great Story. Did anyone figure out what actually happened that Ollie could not fly off? The article mentioned his wing, but did not mention the status after he was examined.

Olly was exhausted and underweight, so the poor thing literally fell into water. Its wing feathers were water logged from constant splashing to regain flight, but it wasn't able to. At that point the lads knew Olly needed help or for sure the osprey would've drowned Animal shelter called rspb and Olly was fed live pike and mackeral to get its weight back to normal, dried off and kept warm and given thorough check up. before being release to continue its journey back home.

RSPB were no doubt grateful for the men taking quick action, as the rspb man, felt if they hadn't - Olly wouldn't have been able to survive much longer and drowned. Olly's probably very grateful - as I am too. A Happy ending and the men fishing will have a great fish tale to tell Left thumb up
