Good Morning Dunedin! Good Morning All!

Thanks Jazzel. I keep watching for a fledge, but I think this chick is going to be a "late bloomer". As a lone chick, he has been slow self-feeding as well as wingersizing. At one point I was a bit concerned that something was wrong due to his inactivity! He sure is a beauty with such nice markings! Hope life will be good to him when he soars the skies!

Jean, I'm somewhat concerned because Barb Walker, as you know, said this nestling was under weight at banding. Not what should be expected on a healthy nest, with only one to feedPuzzled So maybe not a healthy nestDon't Know

As always, time and observations may give answers...

Wait and see is all we can do. He just might be one that takes longer to leave home. We see that occasionally at both eagle and osprey nests. When he's ready, he'll leave!

Good Morning Dunedin! Good Morning Bev and All!

Thanks for the great s'capes yesterday Bev. I too was watching Mom feeding the chick. In fact I started the video and recorded it. Mom decided to get her fill of the fish first and chick waitied patiently till he was offered his share. From what I could see, it was a pretty big fish!
