I had to leave ..when i came back Mom had the fish and was feeding the chick and having some herself

10:35am- Mom is feeding chick. Looks like a nice size fish.


10:36am- Mom grabs a couple bites and then continues to feed chick.

During the feeding an intruder was near the nest. Both Mom and Chick kept watch on it and once the intruder left the area, Mom continued the feeding. I have that on video and will try to edit it and upload it by this evening. Still trying to catch up after a wonderful time away!

Good Morning Dunedin! Good Morning All! Thanks for the info Jazzel! Too bad they couldn't do it last week when we were still down there. I would have loved to be at the nest and get to see the chick up close!





7:30am- Mom and Chick. Chick is really a beautiful bird! Such perfect markings!!



7:31am- Wonder if chick has had breakfast yet?

Bad weather, so no banding today, they'll try tomorrow.

Aw Jean, I wish it had been last week too, I know you would have loved seeing the chick

10:44am- Chick wingersizing. Good wing span!!

Finally uploaded the video of yesterday's morning feeding. Mom went defensive when an intruder came too close to the nest and feeding!
