There was a chick died on this nest last season.. i don't recall reading the cause of death .

I'm so sorry to hear the news.

6:14pm-One lonely chick. Little Chick 2 rests besides the un-hatched egg. Hopefully Mom will bury the two. So sad!

Thank you JudyB and Bev. It really is sad to lose such a wee little one. I really had hopes that Chick 2 would make it through. Since viewing time is so limited on this cam, so much is missed. I guess that's why I didn't realize he wasn't getting enough food. There has never been an abundance of food visable at the nest so I had inquired if there was a problem. The nest is located near the lake so I would assume there would be plenty of food to go around. Sparky said he lives at the lake and confirmed he sees a lot of Ospreys fishing. Of course we don't know if it's our pair or not!?

10:15am- Chick 1 is laying on side of nest. Looks like Mom has started covering up chick 2 and unhatched egg.



10:33am- Mom is feeding chick. More Spanish moss has been added to nest.
