so who knew....this pair are on their second clutch of the season...my last s'cap she was actually incubating 2 eggs with with the first being laid on May 20th or 21st....

05/21/2010 Looks like we have a SECOND CLUTCH started. From your posts I think first egg laid late 05/20 or early morning today. If anyone has a more specific date/time, email me and I’ll update. Pete

Observers say there are 2 eggs now!

awesome video beans and awesome new PTZ cam....

05/31/10 7:45AM PST The PTZ will be the main cam for now ( I suspect you’ve figured out the cam in the lower left is the IR cam.) Two things: 1) When using the PTZ at night it looks like there’s a spotlight on the cavity. That’s the infrared LEDs from the other cam that have been on the whole time (>3 years). We can’t see this light naked eye and either can the owls – but the camera picks it up nicely. 2) From time to time I will be working the PTZ cam. If you watched a few minutes ago I zoomed in and read her band and also had some closeups of the eggs, etc.. Because the cam works best in black and white at night I have been manually switching btw it and color (you’ll see the menu come up when I do this) – I haven’t yet got the settings to where this will happen automatically. Anyway, I’ll be making the color to B/W switch around 8PM PST most nights and also work the PTZ. Last night had great closeup of her downing a woodrat. Pete

6/10/10 Here are the egg dates for this clutch. Incubation is a day or so either side of 30 days. BTW, I WILL clean up all the text in this static area and put most on an FAQ page…so much to do, so little time. TX for your patience. Pete
