Poor Baby

I think we are losing #7...he looks like he got injured to be honest and plus hard for him to get food now that both parents are hunting and not able to enter the nest without being stampeded.

I think we lost little #7....I have video...he got hurt earlier and is weak....Tiny was in the entrance way barely able to keep his head up when a delivery was made and the stampede happened yet again. there are two larger owlets in the way of seeing if Tiny is still breathing but somehow i think this last trample was it....sorry to report and I have video.

I had to stop watching just now as it seems that he is getting very weak and as you say, getting in the way of the stampede.

Okay, I'll watch some more....

Cal maybe you shouldn't watch...Tiny is still breathing and I can hear him...the larger one has begun to treat Tiny like prey and peck at him....barely moving but breathing.....sorry to be so graphic but i think this is important to document for this year....another delivery and Tiny gets creamed again with talons from the gang.....I sure hope he is out of his misery soon!

OT: Tiny was born on my Mother's birthday.

Just going to post one s'cap of the little guy...he is still breathing but barely and I can hear him just a tad....very sad he has to die this way to be honest but it is the way it is unfortunately. Pete who runs the cam will not ever intervene and this is the chance we take watching these beautiful creatures. The other owlets are very quiet although they have been fed....the tine seems unusually mellow....like they know something is not right.....I do not think he will be with us too much longer....at least I hope.

Tiny was moving just a bit when the last delivery was made but was taken to the back of the cavity by two siblings where I am certain his suffering is over....I have made two videos that i will post here...don't watch if you don't think you can handle seeing the little guy hurting...I just think it is important to document the good, bad and ugly....so caution with this video....it is the last time I saw him move his head....
