Welcome to the Marigold Park Eagles thread for the 2014/2015 season. For each of the past 3 years the eagles have produced 2 eaglets. Info on this nest for previous years can be found here. Please feel welcome to post your observations, photos and videos if you visit this nest.

My friend has reported the eagles are back and have been very busy coming and going, adding new sticks to their nest Left thumb up

My friend has reported that the eagles have been building up their nest and calling back & forth to each other every night. Unfortunately they weren't around their nest area this morning.

I visited the park yesterday and did not see or hear any eagles. A friend who lives near the park said she hears them every morning and has seen them taking sticks to the nest. She is sure they have eggs as there is always one in the nest. The nest is quite deep and there is no vantage point in the park where I would see an eagle in the nest unless it got up. It is a strange nest, sitting out on the branches; I wouldn't be surprised if it falls or breaks the branch Oh My

I visited the park this evening with a friend. We did not see any action in the nest for the first 30 minutes then Dad flew in with dinner. Both Mom and the eaglet got up and Dad flew off. Mom was having quite a hard time pulling at the prey and looked like she was enjoying a meal herself Smile She flew out and Dad flew in and continued feeding the eaglet. After Dad flew out again the eaglet got up and had a poop, then exercised its wings. We were both surprised at how big the eaglet is Oh My

By the time the eaglet made an appearance the sun was setting and casting a lovely glow on the nest.
