One of the eagles was perched in the snag across the lagoon this afternoon. It looked like the female, and she perched there the entire time I was at the lagoon, calling several times and looking around.

Went to the lagoon this afternoon and didn't see the eagles at first but a few minutes after arriving they both flew from the nest area and perched side by side in a tree near the light house end of the bridge.

I visited the nest area today with a friend. As soon as we got out of the car we both heard an eagle calling. As we got closer to the nest tree we saw one in the nest. A few minutes later it flew out to some nearby trees and we heard a huge crack then saw the eagle bringing in a branch. It then perched on the side of the nest while the one in the nest was rearranging the stick.

Taken from near the nest tree.

Taken from the beach at the lagoon. If you look closely
you can see the head of the eagle in the nest.

I went to the lagoon and the nest area yesterday. I took a pic of the nest tree from the beach at the lagoon and was surprised to see both eagles in the nest.

One eagle (I think it was the male) was perched on the other side of the lagoon with its feathers blowing in the wind Oh My

By the time I drove over to the nest site one of the eagles was down in the nest. It called out but there was no sign of the other one.

Not the best lighting from that vantage point; the eagle had turned around.

Taken from the other side of the nest. The eaglets will have lots of branches
to climb on when the time comes.
