I did a tour of the nests on the peninsula this afternoon and did not see any eagles around the winery nest.

An adult in the nest yesterday when we pulled over to have a look. Then the other flew in with food and a feeding took place but could not see the eaglet(s) . Adult flew out again and as we drove away it came back with more food.

I've heard from Jane at the winery that the adults are definitely feeding a chick(s) but she hasn't seen any heads pop up yet so she doesn't know how many there are.

I visited the winery with my sister yesterday and had a nice chat with Jane and one of the employees. Jane said she had seen one little head popping up in the nest and the employee said she has seen 2. Yes indeed, there are 2 chicks in the nest and we were lucky to be there at a feeding time WooHoo As in past years these chicks are still quite young and about 3 weeks later hatching than others in the area. We didn't actually see the 2nd chick until we had been there for awhile but it popped up for some food.

Larger eaglet waits patiently for a bite while smaller eaglet
gets a bite from Dad.
