Welcome to the Victoria Airport Eagles thread for the 2014/2015 season. This nest is on private property, therefore the exact location will not be divulged. After watching these eagles and talking with the property owners, I am convinced that this is the same pair that inhabited a nest across the highway several years ago. That nest blew down and it is thought that the eagles took over a nest beside the airport parking lot before building a new nest on this private property. Sadly the eagles did not produce any eaglets this past season. Info on previous years' activities can be found here. Please feel welcome to post observations, photos and videos of these eagles if you visit their nest area.

I did a tour of the nests on the peninsula this afternoon and did not see any eagles around the airport nest or anywhere in the area.

I visited the nest area today and didn't see any eagles in the area or down the road in the perch trees Sad The property owner has sold the lot on one side of her house and a new house in being built. The house and the lot the nest tree is on haven't sold yet.

I visited the nest area this afternoon and did not see or hear any eagles. The owner of the nest property was not home.

On my way out to Pat Bay and Sidney on Feb. 10th, I saw one of the eagles from the airport nest perched at the top of the nest tree. It looked like the male and he was looking around and calling a few times. I did not see or hear the female anywhere.

I stopped again on my way home and I believe this is the same male perched in the snag down the road where both eagles quite often perch. He was calling a few times and the sun had disappeared.

I visited the nest area on Tues. with my sister and saw one of the adults (I believe the male) perched at the top of the nest tree. The crows were harassing him; he had a poop then turned around on the branch. A while later Mom flew in and landed in the tree next to the nest tree. Mom flew off with the crows chasing her while Dad preened. We did not hear any peeps or see any movement in the nest Sad
