Welcome to the Saxe Pt. Park Eagles thread for the 2014/2015 season. This thread is intended for observations, photos and discussion of the Saxe Pt. Park eagles. This nest is located in Saxe Pt. Park in the Municipality of Esquimalt. The Saxe Pt. Park eagles also spend time at the other end of Munro Street at Fleming Beach/Buxton Green and Macaulay Point. Info and photos of this eagle family can be found on the previous thread here. Please feel welcome to post your photos and observations of the Saxe Pt. Park eagles when you visit their nest area.

Karen WooHoo Wonderful news Clapping So happy to hear you were able to get to the park and what a nice surprise for you to see Mom Clapping Thanks for the great pics Left thumb up Did you see or hear Dad anywhere?? I was planning to go to Saxe Pt. Park, Beacon Hill Park and the 3 Oak Bay nests tomorrow if it isn't raining. I did a tour of all the nests on the peninsula on Friday; Pa Sidney was back looking all around for Ma and both the Lochside Dr. eagles were hanging out in the dog park on Lochside Dr. So our eagles are definitely returning to their nest territories Very Happy

I went to the park this afternoon and WooHoo both Mom & Dad were there Left thumb up Mom was perched on her usual branch above the nest and while I was taking a few pics from the inside path by the bench, Dad flew in and perched on his usual little branch on the opposite side of the nest. I couldn't see him from the inside path but did get a few pics from the main path before he disappeared. I wandered around to the lookout area but didn't see him anywhere; I could hear Mom calling for him. I'll post a few pics later.

Here's Dad on the small branch beside the nest yesterday. I wondered if he had been fishing; he was holding his wings out.

Great pics Kay!

I have not been down there since Sunday - P. had another angiogram and stent and was not too well until today.
