Welcome to the Brentwood Bay Eagles thread for the 2014/2015 season. This nest is on private property in the Brentwood Bay area. Info on these eagles for previous years can be found here. These eagles have produced many offspring in previous seasons and 2 successful fledglings this past season. Please feel welcome to post observations, photos and videos of these eagles if you visit their nest area.

I did a tour of the nests on the peninsula this afternoon and did not see any eagles around the nest or in the area.

I visited the Brentwood Bay nest today. I walked up and down the sidewalk where the nest tree is but didn't see any eagles. All of a sudden an eagle came flying down the road, circled around and landed in a tree at the back of the nest property. I think it was the male. About 10 minutes later it flew to a tree down the road across from the school grounds. I didn't see the female anywhere.

Near the nest tree. I couldn't get a clear shot through all the branches Roll eyes

I visited the nest area this afternoon and spotted one of the eagles perched at the back of the old nest tree down at the end of the stand of trees.

I should get a good view of the nest when the leaves have dropped.

Hello everyone once again I have the bad news The Eagles nest has blown down from the high winds last night.
All we can hope for is that they rebuild again. When you go by you cant see and part of the old nest.

Hi Shane. Thanks for posting about the nest blowing down. I was away at the time and didn't know until I visited the nest area today.

One of the eagles was perched in a tree on a property on Sluggett Rd. and the other one was perched in a tree at the end of Sluggett Rd.

The eagles have been busy building a new nest which is approx. halfway between the last nest and the one they had at the end of the stand of trees. This is the 4th nest they have been in since I started watching them in 2007. I took these pics from the end of Columbia Ave. looking across the field where the eagles hunt. I don't know if the broken tree is the one the previous nest was in bit suspect it might be.
