Hi Karen - Do you have more information about these osprey that you could add? Do the adults have names? Were they active last year?

You may also want to add a "Reserved" post near the top in case we come across something later to add (like pictures of the adults for ID purposes - or whatever). Or this post can be used for that (or deleted once the thread is set up).

Added -
I just found your second post with the names of the adults as I'm making my way through the new cams for threads - thanks!

2013 was the first year of this nest cam. The nest is located in Tartumaa, south of Estonia.

The male is Ilmar and the female is Irma.
Looduskalender forum gave the name for Irma. http://www.looduskalender.ee/forum/index.php
Ilmar was named by Kotkaklubi http://www.kotkas.ee/eagle-club because he was satellite tracked Osprey in 2012-2013.
Tracking web site: http://birdmap.5dvision.ee/index.php?lang=en

In 2012 (no cam) they had two chicks and both of the adults, Irma and Ilmar were captured in 2012. They got leg bands and Ilmar got a satellite tracking device. Ilmarīs plastic leg band was U6 (now itīs changed for AF) and Irmaīs plastic leg band is U5.

In 2013 (first web cam year) Ilmar returned on 27th April and Irma returned on 29th April.

Irma laid three eggs (May 9, 13 and 16). Three chicks hatched, they were named Kaido, Kenno and Kaari also by Looduskalender. All three chicks were banded too.
Unfortunately the youngest one, Kaari died on 2nd August for unknown reasons. Kaido and Kenno fledged successfully.
Ilmar was captured again in July 2013 and the satellite tracking device was removed and he got a new leg band "AF" (U6 was removed).

A few pics from 2013:
22 June, 2013 Ilmar had satellite tracking device on his back.

2014 Highlights:
17 April, 2014 Ilmar is back.
24 April, 2014 Irma is back.

3 May, 2014 Irma lays the first egg.
6-7 May, 2014 Second egg (night or morning?)
10. May, 2014 Third egg (night or morning?)

9 June, 2014 First chick hatched (in the night around 3.30 AM).
10 June - 30 June The cam was offline

Most likely egg#2 didnīt hatch.
When camera went online again, there were 2 chicks. The older chick was banded (letters "AR" at the band) at the same time when the cam was repaired.

Looduskalender forum members voted the names for the chicks. The results were: Aino (older ospret with ring AR) and Elar (younger ospret)

17 July, 2014 Elar was banded. (Letters "DI" at the leg band).

30 July, 2014 Ainoīs first flight.

4 August, 2014 Elarīs first flight.
