I was thrilled to find this forum. I've learned so much from all of you about our eagles, their daily routines and their life cycle. (More than I could have learned on my own by watching them on my own.) I certainly would never have known by watching that the eagles were laying their eggs or that they have to roll them periodically. You've been able to capture some pretty cool videos.

Thanks so much for all you do to educate the rest of us.

Feeding going on. The little one is still a bit unsteady, but Mom is being patient and the bigger one is waiting her turn. love

And now Mom is brooding. There's at least one large fish standing by for later. Things look good. Smile

Just watched a bit of a feeding - and again both were fed peacefully.

I did see a bit of posturing earlier today - will see if I can add some more pics tonight. I think we're seeing a spot of dirt and not a pip hole on the egg in the pic above. It's day 34 for the third egg, so it could hatch - though tomorrow is more likely - it's quite rare for an egg to hatch at 34 days. I didn't notice the spot when she was up earlier. I will try to keep an eye on things - just in case. love

Here are some pictures of them today - a bit of posturing and tussling, but mostly happy little eaglets. Grin

Thank you so much for the Decorah slideshow, JudyB,
You got some fantastic pictures for us to see. Yes they do seem like they are "happy little eaglets". Such a joy to see. Grin

Well, I've had several nice looks at the two Decorah eaglets - they pop up every chance they get. Smile However.... Being the cute little rascals that they are, they have been very effectively blocking my view of the middle of the nest bowl - so I have no clue if it contains an egg or a very tiny chick or what. Today is day 35 for the third egg.

Both adults are now on the nest, with yet another huge fish! Grin The biggest chick is peeking around them, but they're quite effectively blocking my view of the chicks, who are blocking my view of the eggs.

Another layer or so, and I can make a song out of this! Titter
