Here's the list of those who were responsible for bringing us the cam this year! I think they all deserve a BIG thanks!!!
The Decorah eagle cam was made possible through the efforts of many people.
•A special thanks to Willard and MaryEllen Holthaus and LaVonne Bjergum
•Many thanks to Bob Puffer, Adam Forsyth, and Greg Vanney, the IT experts at Luther College
•A special thanks to Xcel Energy for providing an alternative link to log on to the Decorah eagles
•Many thanks to the Upper Iowa Audubon for funds to cover the cost of the cameras and computers
•Thanks to Shanna Gobbo and Kenny Phillips at Sims Radio Shack for working out many of the computer issues and technical problems, often in freezing cold conditions. Thanks to the entire gang at Sims Radio Shack for help with wiring connections, adaptors, microphones, and all the other electronic stuff we needed.
•A special thanks to Amy Ries, Raptor Resource Project webmaster, for keeping the main web site up and working, and dealing with a host of IT issues.
•Thanks to the climbing team of Neil Rettig, Dave Kester, and Amy Ries who installed the new cameras and microphones up in the nest tree.
•Thanks to the USFWS and Iowa DNR for permit authorization and support.
As you can see it took a small army of people to provide this unique insight into the lives of the American Bald Eagle with everyone donating their time and efforts
Here is a link to the 2011 thread for this nest
