ETA~Update from Mr. Lukei: Wow - Big fight - both NC and NE attacked - NC got the bird. -
To clarify Mr. Lukei's statement: Both NC and NE tried to claim the food - and NC won. The eaglets were not attacked.

I didn't know EagleEye, but I'm very sorry to hear of her illness and passing. Beautiful photos of Camellia in remembrance, STARR.



Today, the Men in Black are out on assignment--well, apparently NE has not 'officially' fledged, so he's still the agent-in-residence!

Agents NC and ND returned to the nest after one venture out, and were cooling themselves in the center of the nest.






And then--all three on their own branch!

11:45 a.m.

It's official: all three eaglets have fledged! NE fledged a little haphazardly, having slipped from a branch and recovering to make a graceful flight up and across two trees away into a leafy shelter.
