It's 65 degrees F and clear skies...The perfect weather for lump'lets on the nest.
There's something very relaxing about watching three sleeping eaglets
Maybe we should start up the "Eagle Meditations"
Breathe in.....Breathe out.........in..............out..........

Dad brings a nice big fish to the nest!



A moment later, mom arrives and lets dad know she'll take over from here:



...and, well, you know what's next....TIME TO EAT!

Feeding continues....



...when mom decides to leave. It was rather comical to see all three eaglets' heads turn at the same time after her as if to say, "Where'd you go?"

Today's a lazy Sunday so far for the chicks.
They had a restless evening last night--I wonder if those new pinfeathers coming in have something to do with it...?

Parent stops by at the nest--the kids sleep on....

12:00 p.m.

Dad brings in a (very large!) fish:




Feeding commences!



12:10 p.m.

Mom brings in some more nesting materials--dried grasses, from the looks of it.
Feeding is continuing, with one eaglet (the one closest to cam) seeming less interested than the other two in eating:

12:30 p.m.

In the picture below you can see the youngest eaglet in the foreground--with a very full crop!
The two older siblings are self-feeding from the leftover fish.
Interestingly, the eaglet that wasn't interested in the feeding earlier waited until the very end, got a few bites from dad, then went to the fish and started to self-feed after dad was done feeding the others.
