Welcome to the Saxe Pt. Park Eagles thread for the 2013/2014 season. This thread is intended for observations, photos and discussion of the Saxe Pt. Park eagles. This nest is located in Saxe Pt. Park in the Municipality of Esquimalt. The Saxe Pt. Park eagles also spend time at the other end of Munro Street at Fleming Beach/Buxton Green and Macaulay Point. Info and photos of this eagle family can be found on the previous thread here. Please feel welcome to post your photos and observations of the Saxe Pt. Park eagles when you visit their nest area.

Karen thanks for reporting this. I'll be going to the park within the next few days. Hope your back feels better soon hug

ETA: I went to the park this morning and didn't see any eagles. I also went to Fleming Beach and Macaulay Pt. and no eagles there Sad

I went to SP Park this afternoon and saw both eagles, at different times. Mom was perched in the nest tree above the nest when I arrived and was gone after my walk around the park. I went back later after my walk around Macaulay Pt. and Dad was perched at the top of the nest tree. He later flew off over the bay.

Karen these pictures are for you hug Mom preening and watching the dogs running along the path down to the beach.

Dad perched at the top of the nest tree. 1st one was taken from the path above the beach and the 2nd one was taken from the path to the rock bluff. Both have been cropped a lot. The sun was warm and glorious but as usual it was glaring through the trees Roll eyes

I don't usually post pictures of things other than the eagles on this thread but the trees along the roadway into the park were gorgeous Left thumb up

Great shots Kay! Ma looks like she's trying to will those dogs away while Pa looks very regal.
Another gorgeous day unfolding! Happy Thanksgiving!
