Welcome to the Victoria Airport Eagles thread for the 2013/2014 season. This is a new nest that I discovered in June of this year and it is on private property, therefore the exact location will not be divulged. After watching these eagles and talking with the property owners, I am convinced that this is the same pair that inhabited a nest across the highway several years ago. That nest blew down and it is thought that the eagles took over a nest beside the airport parking lot before building a new nest on this private property. The eagles produced 2 beautiful eaglets this season and info on previous years' activities can be found here. Please feel welcome to post observations, photos and videos of these eagles if you visit their nest area.

I have been in contact with the owner of the property where the nest is located and she has not seen the eagles back in their territory yet. She will let me know as soon as she sees them. Soon fingers crossed

I went by the Victoria Airport eagles nest site this afternoon but didn't see any eagles in the area. I went by again on my way home from Pat Bay and still no eagles Sad

I saw one of the adult eagles this morning in one of their usual trees down by the water. No picture as I was in the car.

I visited the Airport nest yesterday and didn't see or hear any eagles or eaglets. The owner of the property said the eagles have been coming and going and chatting to each other, usually in the early morning. She has not seen any evidence of incubating or feeding, nor has she heard any peeping from the nest. Still hoping to see eaglets fingers crossed
