I think so birdofpreyfingers crossed. There was an adult perched on guard right above the nest and another in a tree across the road by the water. Looking good! Their nest is now like a giant round ball and it is very difficult to guess what is going on in there. PuzzledSmile

Checked the Fire Hall nest today. Ma was proudly displayed in the nest with 2 chicks in front of her!!! They look to be 2-3 weeks old already. I got some snaps and then my camera battery died.:no: I have noted to self to get a spare charged battery :!:

capo, gorgeous pics of all the Oak Bay eagles :thumrht:

elle, cute pics of Ma Fire Hall with her eaglets. I posted on Mar. 6 that I had spoken with 2 different neighbours at the Fire Hall nest and they both said they were certain the eagles had eggs. If that is the case, then the eaglets would have hatched approx. the first week of Apr. and would now be about 5 weeks old.

I visited the Oak Bay eagles today and the 2 Fire Hall eaglets were very active preening, beaking each other and wingercizing. They are very big and look like they were hatched a good 2 weeks before the others in the area. One of the adults was perched above the nest and I didn't see the other one anywhere in the area. I went by again on my way home and there were no adults in sight and no movement in the nest. I guess they were worn out from all the action earlier and were having a sleep. I recorded a few videos that I will upload to my YouTube channel later.

I didn't see the Anderson Hill eagles anywhere in the area or anywhere on Trial Island. The lady who owns the new house said she has seen the adults perched in the old nest tree but hasn't seen or heard any young ones. Another neighbour said she hears them occasionally and has seen them in their perch tree along the park path.

I stopped by the Golf Course nest on my way to Anderson Hill and saw no eagles and no movement in the nest; I stopped again on my way home and still no eagles and no movement in the nest :dunno:

I will be back to post some pics.

Did a drive by the Oak Bay nests today without a camera. We know the FireHall nest is in full swing with 2 eaglets. The Golf Course nest does look singularly abandoned and no adults in sight and the Anderson Hill female was perched on a branch just outside the new nest.
