I visited all the Oak Bay nests in the last couple of days.

No sight of the Firehalls. Spoke with "one of the new owners" of the house at the base of the nest tree that is being renovated . The exterior is all but done. I asked " one of the owners" about the eagles and he said they have been around. Roll eyes Don't Know Since there now appears to be more than one owner it seems clear this is a business venture and not a personal purchase. He was very cryptic and careful with his reponses to all my questions and said he had had to get permits from " environmental" people because of the existence of the eagle nest. There is now a driveway and carpark at the rear, accessible from the lane behind the Fire Hall. And the portion of the property that was once a beautiful bucolic garden is still at risk of subdivision. It will not be a driveway as once thought.
The new house construction across the street is also almost complete and it is a mega house but a very beautiful design which is sympathetic to the style of the neighbourhood.
I didn't have my camera with me.

Yesterday I drove by the Golf Course and Anderson Hill nests. Ma Golf Course was in the tree across the road from the nest where she is often seen. I did have my camera this time and I snapped a few and will check them out later and post one or two. Nobody home at Anderson Hill.

Ma Golf Course- I think she was keeping an eye on Pa Golf Course who was seated way out on the island that is covered with cormorant nests. It was close to sundown and time for dinner. Smile Click twice for prettier image.

Did a quick tour of Oak Bay yesterday afternoon.

Firehall: No signs of life but the nest does look a bit bigger. Not sure.

Golf Course: Ma atop the nest and the nest is scarily HUGE.

Anderson Hill: Pa on his Trial Island post. No sign of Ma. New nest is big enough to use this season, I think

I would have loved to see them bringing in that enormous stick. Looks like Ma above the nest and the nest is huge like I said previously.

I did a tour of the Oak Bay nests this afternoon; it's been quite awhile since I was in that area. 2 different neighbours that I spoke to behind the Fire Hall nest said the eagles have been in and out of the nest tree with sticks re-building the nest for the past couple of months and they are definitely incubating. There has been at least one of the eagles in the nest constantly for the past week. One of the neighbours said they saw a young one in the area yesterday and it tried to land in the nest tree but the parent chased it away.

I saw one of the Anderson Hill eagles sitting on the rocks at Trial Island and one of the Golf Course eagles sitting on the island off Oak Bay waterfront. There could have been one in the Golf Course nest but I saw no movement at all. I'll post some pics later.
