I visited all 3 Oak Bay nests this morning and the only eagle I saw was Mom Anderson Hill perched in the tree along the path. I didn't see any eagles on Trial Island. I guess all the kids were out playingGrin I'll post some pics of Mom soon.

Went by the Firehall nest today and found out the rumours I had heard were unfortunately true.
The lovely English Cottage at the end of the cul de sac behind the Firehall that had a pretty adjacent garden that was private and enclosed now looks like this. The nest tree is totally exposed now but at least it is still there!

I did not see any eagles around there or down on Beach Drive where they normally hang out.

Opposite this recent devastation is another development that I did expect. This is where I photographed and videoed the Firehall eaglet on the ground in July when PatB was visiting for Fledgefest. We saw the markers indicating a subdivison of the property and sure enough construction is well under way now. That beautiful peaceful lawn and rock garden looks like this now.
The chimney on the grey/green house is where we initially saw both the eaglets that day.

I hope these projects do not deter the Firehall Pair.
