After my meeting with Ryan of Oak Bay News, I went back to the Fire Hall nest and one of the eaglets was perched on a branch behind the nest. I got a good view of it from the end of the side street. Click bigger.

The eaglet wasn't sure it wanted to stay on that branch; it had a poop then started flapping its wings. Click bigger.

Here are a few pics of the Victoria Golf Course eagles, taken this past Tues. morning, while on a tour of the 3 Oak Bay nests with reporter Ryan Flaherty of the Oak Bay News. Click bigger.

Mom perched in the fir tree across from the golf course entrance (she was on the wrong side for good lighting)

After my tour of the nests with Ryan from Oak Bay News, I made another visit to the Golf Course nest. The eaglets were active and one of the adults (Dad?) was perched at the top of the nest tree. Click bigger.

One of the Golf Course eaglets was wingersizing and getting some air time when I visited the nest the 3rd time last Tuesday. These pics were taken just before 3pm which isn't the best time of day for this nest. Click bigger.

While the eaglet was wingersizing, Dad was perched at the top of the tree across from the entrance to the golf course, preening and waiting for Mom to come home. He had some small feathers stuck to his beak in the 2nd pic. Click bigger.
