Okay that's it! Real camera and photography lessons as an impending retirement project for this gal.
Your pix are astounding capo99. And what beautiful subjects in today's glorious sunlight. Many many thanks. The Golf Course and Anderson Hill pairs are such great beauties and close enough to photograph well. They live in the upper crust area of town, after all.Smile

I visited all 3 Oak Bay nests today. First the Fire Hall nest; no eagles in or around the nest. I had a nice chat with the fellow who lives on the corner of the side street and he said the eagles have been coming and going on a regular basis for the past week. I drove around to Beach Dr. and spotted one of the eagles perched at the top of a nearby fir tree. I walked up and down the side streets and took some pix. Next was the Golf Course nest; no eagles when I first arrived but saw one fly over the Golf Course towards the fir tree across from the entrance to the Golf Course and got some pix. I spotted the other one flying off in the distance towards the water. I waited for a long time hoping the other one would come back but no luck. Next was the Anderson Hill nest; no eagles in sight anywhere, not even on the marker at Trial Island. I took a pic of the Golf Course nest and the lone eagle perched on top of the fir tree from the top of Anderson Hill. I went by the Fire Hall nest again before heading home and to my delight both eagles were there. Mom was in the nest fussing about and Dad was perched above the nest. Mom settled down in the nest while Dad watched the neighbours walking by and doing their chores. One of the firemen was outside working on the fire truck and stopped to chat. He said they had an incident about 3 years ago when there was an intruder and one of the Fire Hall eagles got into an aerial fight with it and they both landed in the nest tree. One of the eagles was hanging upside down for approx. an hour before they became untangled and the intruder flew off. The other Fire Hall eagle was perched in the nest tree watching. I haven't uploaded my pix yet; will do it after dinner and post some later.

Thanks Kay and Elle for the kind comments. I enjoy taking shots of the eagles especially the Oak Bat pairs because as Elle says they are close by. This time of year until July their pretty reliable as far as being close by their nests. Now all we is the good weather to continue.

Hellosaytin, we don't like to post details of the nest sites on the open forum so I'll send you an email with details and maps. I'll send it through HWF forum, because I have a new computer and no longer have your private email.
