Hi Kay and Arlena. Sorry I couldn't join you yesterday. Next time for sure and likely will be in the New Year 2011! Holy doodle. I haven't seen an eagle at Glen Lyon for a very long time. It used to be almost guaranteed there would be one there. I hope it is Mrs Firehall and that she and her mate try again this year.

Thanks for the map capo; I found the nest at Royal Roads University today and one of the eagles (I think it was the female) was perched above the nest. She sat there for quite awhile while I took some pics and then flew off over the university parking lot down by the lagoon. I thought since I took these pix last Friday I might as well post them. The 1st pic is the Anderson Hill nest taken from Island Rd.; the 2nd pic is the Golf Course nest; the 3rd pic is the secondary Gold Course nest beneath the main nest (a double decker). Click 2X bigger.

Took some pics today of golf course eagles. A couple are a little out of focus, especially the one of eagle taking off, just managed to get the pic. At least wings are in focus.

Ian and I did the tour on Dec 30 and only saw one eagle at Glen Lyon School. We didn't stop to take a pic.
