Kay...The Anderson Hill eagles are really beautiful! I love the first pic in the post above where Mom is so wide-eyed. I wouldn't mind at all being able to look out my window to such "scenery".

Ian and I did a tour of the Oak Bay nests this afternoon.

Still nothing at the Fire Hall. This is just so sad and tragic.

The Victoria Golf Course pair were together in the tree directly across from the nest; this is where the female is normally spotted by herself while her mate is off at sea fishing, so it was nice to see them together. The attached photos are of them ; the long distance one was taken from the top of Anderson Hill.

The Anderson Hill male was in his usual spot on the marker on Trial Island. ( no photo) His mate was nowhere in sight.

I went to visit the Oak Bay nests this afternoon. Dad Anderson Hill was perched on the marker on Trial Island, where he was yesterday when elle and Ian were in Oak Bay. I checked their nest and the surrounding trees but Mom was nowhere in sight. I could see one of the Golf Course eagles, perched in the tree across from the entrance to the golf course, from the lookout on top of Anderson Hill. Mt. Baker was absolutely gorgeous from the top of Anderson HillLeft thumb up The eagle was still there when I arrived at the golf course and I think it was Mom, but Dad was off fishing somewhere and I didn't see him. After spending some time at Willows Beach, I came back along Beach Drive and the Golf Course Mom was still perched in the same tree.

There were no eagles at the Fire Hall nest but I did see an eagle perched on top of a fir tree at the end of the side street by the Glenlyon Norfolk School. There is a nest at the end of the side street and a neighbour told me the eagles have been around but he has never seen any eaglets in that other nest. I can't figure out if it is a second nest that the Fire Hall eagles use and the eagles seen there are actually the Fire Hall pairChin

I'll post some pix later; time to get dinnersigh sign
