sassyk,

The Anderson Hill eagles where all in thier usual place at Beach and Transit up the path. From the path you would have only seen mom and dad. Babe could only be seen from up on the rocks and was by herself most of the time. You wouldn't have seen him/her from Beach Dr. Pics below of mom, dad and family, and yes the twgs can be a pain.Mad

wavecapo, beautiful pics of the Anderson Hill eagles and eagletLeft thumb up Now we know that at least one of the eaglets has fledgedClapping I usually photograph the eagles from the hill overlooking Trial Island or from further down the path, underneath the tree they perch in. Also you get a good view from Island Rd. if they are in and around the nest.

Here are the last two for today. The second pic is actually both babies. The one in front has his head down on his chest and the second eagle is behind him, so it's actually the head of the second eagle and the body is the first eagle.

Have a great night.

I was at Anderson Hill yesterday and boy was it windy! No eagles in sight anywhere there or at the Golf Course or anywhere in the Marina. Here is a short video I took from Anderson Hill looking over to Trial Island where Pa Anderson Hill usually perches on the marker. The sound of the wind is authentic; not dubbed. Oh My

ANDERSON HILL PARK JULY 12-10

And a picture of a Romneya bush..........a flower I have unsuccessfully tried to cultivate in my garden; several times. I even ordered seeds from California. There are so many in a garden up on the hill it made me want to cryCry Hanky Not fair.

Hey all,

First, a quick note to sassyk - about my postings in the Saxe Pt. thread: I checked my pictures, same tree. Roll eyes There's nothing really worth sharing besides that (for the moment).

Moving on, here's some shots I took of the Anderson Hill eagles last Wednesday (July 7) - I found the trail off Transit and went up there twice - once to find the eaglet, and another time to find the adult eagles. The eaglet has definitely fledged.

And finally, capo - your images are so damn sharp. And full of rich color. How are you doing it? If you don't mind me asking - I am wondering, are you using a CPL? UV filter? I am heading up to Prince Rupert next weekend and I am thinking about buying a filter of some kind before my trip and would appreciate your opinion on which would be best for wildlife photography. Thanks, and thanks for all the great shots!!
