Hi Kay: Interesting photos from July 2. It kind of looks like the eagle may have gotten into some oily water or maybe just a mud bath. Maybe you could show it to David at FF to see what he says. I hope it’s not sick.

Hello,

I've been taking pics of the Anderson Hill eagles for a month or so now. Great spot in the park to shoot from if they hang out long enough for you. I find the crows pester them constantly and force them to keep moving. I've posted a few of my pics and you will notice a leg band on one of the eagles. Does anyone know where it came from?

According to someone who posted as "eagle-tree" in 2008, the banded eagle showed up in 2006 and mated with the existing adult. It had not been identified as to where it had been banded.
