We have a first hatch!! Egg Hatch

It looked like there was a brief feeding at 5:50 p.m., though the parent was blocking the view, so I didn't see how many bites or how well the eyas fed--though the little one is very loud! Titter

We have three!

One is just-hatched...awww love

It looks like there was a feeding at about 10:48 a.m. I couldn't see who got what, as the parent blocked the view, but there were many healthy vocalizations by the parent and the chicks. The newly-hatched eyas tried to get up, but still was too wobbly. Smile

12:25 p.m.

Another feeding, and this time all three were up and peeping to be fed. The parent vocalized throughout the feeding and, by the end, all the eyasses seemed to have eaten enough as their peeps subsided.

Checked in on them this morning during my break. The parent kept them mostly covered (current weather: 61*F, Partly Cloudy). While the parent was preening off and on, there were some brief moments where the eyasses were visible underneath and it *looked* like there might've been 4 fluff balls instead of three.

Parent just left and I do think we have 4 eyasses.

A Parent returned with food at about 10:48AM and feeding commenced. Unfortunately, the parent is blocking the eyasses for the most part (though there are definitely 4 little heads there). Vocalizations throughout feeding, other parent arrived at the other end of the box at about 10:55AM and things got quite noisy in the box.

Four heads:

3:10 p.m.

It's a nice day in SLC, so the parent has been perched on the rock, with the eyases back in a huddle together:

4:10PM (Mountain Standard Time)

I've been checking in on them off and on throughout the day. All 4 seem to still be doing okay. I didn't catch any feedings (just due to not being able to watch all 8 hours of the work day) - so I don't know how well each one got fed.

I do have to say I find it a bit funny when the parent tries to shove all four beneath 'em to nestle with them. They just won't all fit *lol*

This is the third feeding that I saw today, and all seem to be getting enough to eat.
