Thanks for the welcome, it's nice to be back Smile

Oh, and since this is a new forum, if we have any new viewers to this nest box (once the webcam is up and running in the next week or so and *crossing fingers* the pair use it this year) and aren't familiar with where the nest box is located/the area around it, here are some reference images to show where the nesting box is located on the Joseph Smith Memorial Building (JSMB) (assuming they didn't move it at all when they were doing the upgrades for their window washing system):

(Taken from one of my old posts on the old board)

Here's the nestbox

General shot of the exterior (this is the South west corner, the nest box is on the North East corner, so the opposite side from this shot)

And finally this is a screen shot from google maps. The nest box should be within the area in red

Ah jannice, you beat me too it *lol*. I had noticed late last night that the camera's were up (but my connection at home was being dumb - not that anything was going to be visible at that time), and then I forgot that first thing I was going to do when I got in to work was going to be to check the cams.

Here's a couple screenshots I've gotten so far

(Question, is it just my computer or is there no sound? I seem to recall there being sound with at least one of the cameras 2 years ago - I noticed this falcon was doing some vocalizing and I'm kind of bummed that I'm missing out on hearing it)

I too saw the update on the UDOW and scooted over to the forum and to my delight saw the pic and the recent posts. Thanks for the pics, it is good to see that there is a chance for the pair to come back this year.

thanks again

Decided to check into the nest cam before I head home from work....looks like we've got rain in SLC (current temp is 34°F)

4:17PM (MST) Rainy Day (sidewalk below is wet, water is dripping from the top edge of the nest box)

Been watching the cam and I see the lone egg. Do they usually lay more than one? Isn't that poor egg going to get gold with no bird sitting on it? I better go read about Peregrine Falcon eggs. Smile
