Had to see this with my own eyes and sure enough, 2 eggs vanished. Wondering if this is a normal occurence or if these peregrines might be suffering from contaminants found in this watershed.

Everyone is baffled about this. The Telus tower is surrounded by a high security fence so it wasn't poachers.

The disappearance of the 2 eggs may be due to ravens, possibly working in pairs as they often do. One distracts the falcon as it leaves the eggs while the other snatches an egg or two. They do this at lightning speed too !! This would explain the absence of eggshell fragments.

Hatch should start beginning June 10 ( day 33 ) if we start counting from the last egg on May 10 ( 33-35 days average incubation time ).

First chick hatched at 7:38 and second hatched at 10:53. Still waiting for third to hatch. How very exciting Smile
