As I approached the Muse Winery yesterday, I spotted an eagle at the top of the nest tree. By the time I got into the parking lot and got my camera out, both eagles flew off towards the beach area at Deep Cove. I saw them both perched in a tree near the beach. When I went down to the beach later, they were nowhere in sightRoll eyes Here is a pic of them in the beach tree and a pic of their nest tree, which is actualy not on the Muse Winery property, but on the adjacent property. I went by the Muse Winery yesterday and did not see the eagles in the nest or anywhere in the area. Just before I was going to leave, I spotted 2 eagles flying overhead. They did a few aerial acrobatics before flying off into the distanceRoll eyes I managed to snap a couple of pix before they disappeared. Click bigger.

Stopped by Muse Winery late afternoon today. Here is a photo of an adult in the nest. eaglesonly may post some better ones later. The owner, Peter, said his wife Jane saw a brown head in the nest yesterday morning. It's possible this pair nested late and the chicks hatched later than the Sidney nest.

Oh what a sight to see an eagle in the nest. They were making another nest across the road and I thought maybe they were using that one to raise their family. They have always been 2-3 weeks later than the Sidney eagles and the nest is so deep; maybe that's why I haven't seen any eagles in the nest the last few times I have been there.

Here is a photo of a parent in the Muse Winery nest. Looks very much like she is nesting for sure.
