Durand Takes a Break from Incubating her Eggs

She was gone about four minutes (I shortened the video)

Eggs hatch in about 33 days, which would be May 6.

Unfortunately, the other male disappeared and Durand stopped incubating her eggs.

It appears his left legband is 32/B which would make him "Spark" from last year's Terminal Tower nest in Cleveland! Ironically, the adult male at that nest was "Boomer" hatched in 2008 in Columbus! How exciting to have offspring of a Columbus-produced bird come back to the Capital City!

Spark and Durand Have Four Eggs!

Durand laid her fourth egg late yesterday or early today. Eggs were infertile in both 2011 and 2012. Durand's mate, Spark, appears to be incubating the eggs in the morning.

1st egg: March 19
2nd egg: March 22
3rd egg: March 24
4th egg: March 27
