This camera is once again active - and the birds have returned! Grin
You can watch on WMP

The microphone on this system picks up many noises that sound much closer than they actually are. There is a road about 200 m away and a railway about 3 km from the nest.

This year Kotkaklubi installed the web camera at the lesser spotted eagle nest already on April 8. The nest is in the county of Jõgeva (Jõgevamaa), and there have been transmissions from it for two seasons already. A brief look back: the year before last the eagle pair decided not to lay eggs. Last summer the juvenile whom the forum named Spot fledged. After having been found with a wing injury Spot was later in the care of the Nigula Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre; from there, Spot was let out in October to live the life of an independent young eagle.

From the forest the signal reaches, by way of Mikrotic’s aerials, the tele tower 8 km away and from there the optical cable of Televõrgud AS. The Televõrgu cable carries the signal to the EENet server where it is decoded and split into streams for viewers as needed. The part of the system that is in the forest gets its energy from solar panels.

In captivity usually one reproduces with the real eagle, = ERROR I was confused with the Aquila nipalensis = Aquila chrysaetos + Aquila nipalensis

Haliaeetus leucocephalus + Haliaeetus albicilla = :dunno:
