Sorry about the camera feed pudzzy. Richard will likely have to make a trip to the site to check on things if it won't restart from the encoders. Something on that camera set-up is different from the rest but I can't recall what it is.
I too hope it's up and running again soon since there are three eggs on that nest as far as we know and the first will be due around April 20th.

Thanks JKR _ I remember something about the cam startup or something been on the site & there are new workers there who dont know how to start it.Maybe someone could remind richard about it
I think Richard has to go there himself
I also hope we get the Lafarge back & running before those bobble heads arrive next wed
FOUND HIS POSTs
the ADSL modem at the Lafarge site does not allow me to remotely "restart" it - but a proper commercial unit would - instead I have to either go on site or get someone local to the office there to pull the power plug, wait a minute, and plug it back in - but the office staff there have changed since last time this was done, so I have to teach them what the modem even looks like - and dig it out of a closet filled with various supplies and boxes
THIS WAS YESTERDAYS (guess he has not been able to get there yet )
(hope this doesnt mean we are waiting days or weeks)
Not sure what the problem is but might have to go on site - but can't until some time this afternoon at earliest as I have to go to Campbell Valley with the video suite for location program this morning.
the web server is under heavy use and I'm looking at options for a new one that will have more RAM in it (which is the problem) but not for days or weeks

Richard when you stop in here next, tell me did you guys do anything that made the Sidney sound straighten out? I thought we were pooched for the season then all of a sudden couple days ago voila! there it was fine and dandy. Now! not so much again??? Is this something that can be fixed?

pudzzy, I think Richard has a meeting somewhere today but I did send him an email about the Lafarge cam.
I will post any information once I hear back from him. I also hope it's up and running soon.

Lori, that mic has a mind all it's own. Whatever it does and doesn't do can't be explained. It has obviously cleared up on it's own again since no one has been on the site and it can't be fixed remotely. Maybe it's possessed by gremlins

I suppose Judy, silly thing! Doesn't it know we need to hear our sweet cheeps from the chicklets? Changing all the time now from buzz, to horrifying noise and back to buzz....now buzzzzz off and go clear!

I have to either visit the site (and teach the new site manager) or talk her through finding the modem and power cycling it. I'm hoping I'll be able to do this on Monday some time. I was by there today but being Saturday they were not there (sometimes they are but not today)
I hope this will cure the problem - I can't think of anything else other than this that might cause the intermittent problem.
