Thanks for notifying us ducky121. From the looks of things WR, Delta2 and Lafarge are all down. I suspect WildEarth is still having server problems but I will call Ken right away on the off-hand chance he can reboot them.

ETA: Ken is now checking into it. If he can't get them rebooted he said he will send a message off to Peter at WE.

I have been trying to connect to both the close and wide cams at WR for almost an hour and can only get the black screen and the message that it is trying to buffer or the non publish .... at any rate refreshing about each 3 minutes I can't get on and it just sits there waiting for the buffer to fill.....
again tonight missing the sunset and the kids any suggestions? Nothing I have tried so far work. It worked all day until about an hour ago (sigh) thanks

I'm sorry this had to happen now that you've finally got the cam working again - but unfortunately all of our cams are down. If you read back a couple of posts, you'll see that ducky121 posted here at 6:29 to let us know that White Rock was down. Forum Admin jkr saw his message and checked our other cams at Delta 2 and Lafarge and found that they were also not working - so she contacted Ken, who is one of our tech support people. Ken planned to check to see if he could get the cams working - but usually when they all stop streaming, the problem is one of the WildEarth servers (WildEarth is our streaming partner - Hancock Wildlife sends them the signal, and then they send it out to the world so we can all watch the cams).

Ken said that he would contact WildEarth if he wasn't able to fix the problem from our end. Since the cams are still not streaming, I'm guessing that he couldn't do anything locally. As WildEarth is based in South Africa, and it's the middle of the night there, it may take a while until they can fix the problem.

I just checked WildEarth's facebook page, and they posted the following message about 6 minutes ago:
Apologies once again, as it looks like the main server has gone down causing all WildEarth streams to be off line. Since it is in the early morning hours of S. Africa, it may be a bit of time before this can be looked in to and why it continues to happen. We understand that it is very frustrating for you, as it is also very frustrating for us. Thank you for your understanding, as we all know, there is no full guarantee with technology.

Hopefully they will be able to figure out what's happening and fix it - so with a bit of luck, this will be the last sunset you miss.
